Henann Regency Resort and Spa Review

Henann Regency Resort & Spa is a mid-range to luxury beachfront hotel that’s centrally located in Station 2, Boracay. In this review I’ll cover the place in detail…

Among other topics, I’ll discuss its main charms, its location details, its highlight worthy amenities, the best rooms, how to contact them, plus I’ll also cover both its pros and cons.

Once read you should have a very good idea of what to expect, and if it’s the right place to stay for you.

About Henann Regency & Its Location

The biggest advantage of a stay at Henann Regency is its accessible location. As it’s right in the middle of Station 2, it is steps away from a long and wide section of the powdery White Beach. It’s also an easy walking distance from D’Mall, and many restaurants in the area.

The hotel is quite large, with rooms spread over 3 different wings – the main wing, north wing and east wing. Of these 3 wings, rooms in the main wing will give you the fastest access to the beach, as it’s located just behind the hotel’s restaurants on the beachfront.

Henann Regency has a good list of facilities that will make sure you’re set for almost anything that you may need during your stay. There are multiple pools throughout the hotel, several restaurants, a gym, spa, as well as business center and convention center.

What this place could do with, is an update on its rooms and facilities. As it’s not a new property, some rooms are showing signs of wear and tear.

  • Close to D’Mall and restaurants
  • Multiple pools throughout the hotel
  • Many in-house restaurants serving a variety of cuisine
  • Rooms look a little dated and worn

Distances to some of the close by points of interests are: 5 minute walk to D’Talipapa, 6 minute walk to D’Mall, 10 minute walk to Bulabog Beach.

Highlight Worthy Amenities

One advantage about Henann Regency is that it has three pools, one for each of the hotel wings, so you won’t have to worry much about a crowded pool.

The hotel also has six in-house restaurants and bars, serving food ranging from Western cuisine, to Filipino delicacies and Chinese dishes. Aside from that, one of the bars mentioned is a poolside bar in the east wing pool, so you can enjoy happy hour while taking a dip.

Henann Regency also has its own spa facility, called Kai Spa. You can enjoy a variety of massages, wraps and scrubs there. It’s best to call ahead for a visit, as it can be fully booked at times.

If your fitness routine is a top priority, you’ll be happy to hear that Henann Regency has a gym and fitness center. Alternatively, if a bit of work is on the schedule, you can head to the hotel’s business center.

My Top 3 Room Recommendations

The Family Room is a good choice if you’re traveling in a group. It’s a two-bedroom unit, sleeping up to five in total. Family Rooms also have good views overlooking the pool.

If you’re looking for a bit of quiet and privacy, try the East Premier Room with direct pool access, where you can hop into the pool right from your private veranda. Located in the hotel’s east wing, it is situated further away from the beachfront, but still just a short walk away.

Lastly, for those living large, consider the Presidential Suite in the main wing, which sleeps four. There are only two such suites in the entire hotel, and they’re lavishly decorated with marble-clad bathrooms, three TVs in total, and a large balcony with beautiful views of the sea.

What Guests Say & My Take

At the time of writing, Henann Regency is rated 8.4 on Agoda with 6133 reviews, which is pretty good. On Booking.com, it has a score of 8.2, and rated 4 out of 5 on TripAdvisor.

Personally, I think it’s a luxury choice worth considering, as its central location on Station 2 means that you’ll never have to go far for meals or entertainment. Besides that, the hotel has plenty of facilities to cater to your fitness and relaxation needs.

Alternatives to Henann Regency

If you’re still shopping around for accommodations, here are some alternatives that are around the same price range as Henann Boracay:

Coast Boracay

Coast Boracay is a chic, tastefully decorated luxury resort, with décor and facilities more Instagrammable and well-maintained than Henann Regency. There’s plenty to do for whole family – there’s a Pool Bar with a decent drink selection for the adults, and another kiddie pool perfect for the little ones.

The District

The District is located at the border of Stations 1 and 2, so unlike Henann Regency, you can enjoy the peace of Station 1, while still having easy access to Station 2’s nightlife. Their daily brunch buffet is great for late risers or those who need to snooze after a night out, as it lasts from 6am – 1pm.

Red Coconut Hotel

If nightlife is a top priority, Red Coconut is a good option to consider. This beachfront hotel is home to the popular Coco Bar, so you’re closer to the party compared to Henann Regency. There’s also a good in-house restaurant, where guests get a 10% discount.

P.S. Regency Resort is one of several in the Henann network in Boracay. Other Henann hotels in Boracay include Henann Lagoon Resort, Henann Garden Resort, Henann Palm Beach Resort, Henann Prime Beach Resort, and Henann Crystal Sands Resort.
